DIAGNOSTIC TESTS

The Toronto General Hospital Medical Imaging Department is on the 1st floor of the Munk Building. The Toronto Western Hospital Medical Imaging Department is on 1st and 3rd floors of the hospital.

If you are scheduled for a diagnostic test at the Toronto General Hospital, enter from the 585 University Ave entrance.​ There are some exceptions to the medical imaging located on Level 1 of the Peter Munk Building at the Toronto General Hospital. The Echo Lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Gerrard Wing. Vascular Ultrasounds take place on the 6th Floor, Eaton Building. If you are unsure, refer to your appointment, or call us.

If you are scheduled for a diagnostic test at the Toronto Western Hospital, your appointment will be on the 1st or 3rd floors. If you are unsure, refer to your appointment, or call us.

CLINIC APPOINTMENTS

​Clinic appointments for Cardiology and Adult Congenital Cardiology will be located at the Toronto General Hospital - Norman Urquhart (NU) Building​ 5th Floor, in the Ambulatory Cardiac Clinic​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​. 

 

Enter from the 585 University Ave Entrance, and take the Munk Elevators to the 5th Floor. Follow the signs for the Ambulatory Cardiac Clinic and check in at the reception desk.

OPERATIONS

There are currently two coronary catheterization units within ​​​UHN.

If you are scheduled for an interventional procedure at the Toronto General Hospital, enter from the 200 Elizabeth Street entrance.Take the Eaton Elevators to the 2nd Floor, and check in at the "Fran and Ed Clark Waiting Room" (Eaton Bldg, Room 250).

Some special cases are done in the Operating Room (OR), located on the 6th Floor of the Munk Building, at the Toronto General Hospital. You will receive special instructions if you will be in the OR.

If you are scheduled for an interventional procedure at the Toronto Western Hospital, you may enter from the Emergency, Dundas, or Bathurst Street entrances. Take the Fell Elevators to the 3rd Floor, and check in at the Cardiac Investigations Unit.
